APD Formal

Hey everyone

I meant to post this last week, but I've been busy (go figure). Anyways, two weekends ago was my fraternity's formal (yes, alumus can go). We went up to the cabin we went to last year, it's owned by the parents of two of our brothers (yes, they're real brothers too).

This cabin is awesome! It's friggin huge (it's not really a cabin, but more like a house in the woods) and it's in the middle of nowhere, no cell phone reception, no nothing. We had a blast. Me and Tom went up with a bottle of liquor and two bottles of wine each, like I said, it was lots of fun. The second night we were there, we went out to dinner and as we walk to the restaraunt, we're passed by 3 sheep, a donkey, AND a camel. I wish I had my camera with me cause it's hard to believe. I guess they were having some sort of Christmas reinactment thing in the city that night (that would also explain the shepards that accompanied the animals). The rest of that evening is kinda blurry, but I do distinctly remember relaxing on the couch with everyone while drinking lots of wine (very relaxing), doing the men in black dance that I haven't done since greek week 2004, and doing the electric slide with everyone, I swear we were all on crack.... or.... alcohol.

Besides that not a whole lot is going on around here. I can't believe it's already less than 2 weeks from Christmas! Speaking of which, I'm getting sick of this "Happy Holidays" thing, the only reason "the holidays" are so big is because of Christmas. I don't understand why people feel the need to be so PC about it, if you're Jew tell people Happy Chanukah! If you celebrate something else, tell people "merry" whateveritisyoucelebrate. People should just be proud of what it is they celebrate and quit worrying about others being offended cause they're not included. Alright, I'm done ranting. I'm peacing out.

Songs of the post:
Bob Rivers - The Twelve Pains Of Christmas (for all you Cleveland people)
John Lennon - Happy Xmas (War Is over)
Barenaked Ladies - Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (feat. Sarah Mclachlan)

Completely Lost

Wow,

It's been a while! I told myself I wouldn't just start this and then just forget about it. So here I am again. I've been hooked on the show "Lost" lately, I picked up season 1 on DVD cause it was on sale (watching downloaded shows got me hooked, so I figured I should be a contributing person in society and actually pay for it) I highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for something good to watch (although I'd start at the beginning, I can't imagine picking this up in the middle of season 2.

I'm still a fan of netflicks, they already saved me about $20 cause I almost bought Kung Foo Hustle. I watched million dollar baby a couple weeks ago (really fucking depressing) and last week watched Spanglish (not bad, but not great). Right now I have Finding Neverland and I've been doing nothing but Finding hard to find time to watch it, oh well.

Unfortunately not a whole lot has been going on lately, work is work (it's a damn good thing they pay me). I am in seatch of a hobby though, if you have any good ideas for that, let me know, I really need to get out more and do something with my life.

This past weekend was fun, I went to "A Night at the Races" with my family and some friends of the family, our families have known eachother since before I've been alive and the "kids" are all about the same age. The even was a fund raiser for a local highschool's swim team, they hold mock horse races that you can bet, you can even buy a horse if you want. Myself and the other "kids" all chipped in and bought a horse for the one race and called it "the kidz table" since that's where we always sit when we're together. Believe it or not, we won! It was impressive, and the best part was our parents bought a horse in the race after that and they won! (I swear it wasn't rigged)

But anyways, I'm rambling so I'm gonna post a couple of good songs since it has been so long since I updated this thing, hope you enjoy.

Song(s) of the day:
Joe Purdy - wash away
My Chemical Romance - The Ghost of You

Green Day - Are We The Waiting
