My New 'E'

Hey everyone! Quick new post. I finally got a new car this weekend (for all of you who don't, know I've been looking for over a year now!). Well, anyways, I got a 2006 Honda Element, it's silver with blue body paneling. I'm excited! I've been looking at getting an Element for a long time now. Here's a picture. Drop me a line if you want to take a ride!

Oh God, not this holiday again...

So needless to say I'm not a big fan of Valentines Day. When I was younger, I never really paid attention to the holiday, I just remember my mom would give me and my sister something. That and when we used to give everyone in our classroom a card in grade school.

Recently, I've grown to dislike it because of the many downsides to the holiday. Maybe it's cause I've grown cynical with age, maybe it's cause I've been single, but I've found a lot of problems with the whole thing, regardless of whether or not ur single.

If you're single, V day just magnifies the fact that you're unattached. If you're in the dating game, it places a lot of pressure on finding a date by the day. If you're dating a couple people casually, you're in a pickle for who to spend the day with. And even if you're in a relationship, all is not quite on the western front. Women have it hardest cause there is nearly nothing marketed to guys for Valentines day (although I say just show up naked with beer and I'm happy). And for guys it's mission-fucking-impossible. You can't be cliche and get the typical chocolates or roses. Lingere is a gift for you, not for her. You can't get her something cute , like a stuffed bear with a heart in it's arms cause that's waaaa too cheesy. And you can't just get her something useful cause it needs to be sentimental or romantic. So you need something sentimental or romantic, that isn't cliche or cheesy, that can be useful but it's not mandatory... which is prett much impossible.

So like I said, I'm not a big fan of Valentines day... too much pressure!

Deep Thoughts with Cork

So the Steelers won the superbowl, oh well, shit happens. I went over a friends house to watch the game (since Erie sucks and I still don't get local channels in High Definition), it was fun and there were some good commercials. I went home Saturday and found my Bernie Kozar jersey from middle school. Hells yeah! The scary part is, I can still put it on, although my sister said it looked gay when I did cause it's tight as hell (and she's right).

I've been trying to find a new car, it's been a tough time figuring out what I want vs. what I can afford. I prob should just get a new job that pays better, but who knows how long that'll take. Today I also started thinking about moving back to Cleveland. I feel like I need a fresh start at things (yeah, and I'm only 23). It prob won't do me any good, I really just need to get my mind off a few things that have been bothering me, but I don't have a lot of opportunities to do that around here. Oh well, C'est la vie. Peace out everyone.
